It's fun to be a girl.

A crush, though defined as just a fickle liking of someone, is much more. It can be a full throttle passion for someone, an all around obsession. The definition of a crush cannot nearly be defined as a fantasy of dating a certain someone, but also can be defined in the finest detail. Details such as the fact that just a smile can light up your whole entire night or that because he loves the color red, you tend to wear red over any other color. Things such as "accidentally" bumping into him in the hallway on your way to math class. Or even the slightest glance from him that you thought was intentional.

This feeling tend to grow and love instantly find its way. Is it what you feel? I guess we are mutual, for we are only teenagers.

Girls really are crazy, mad and sometimes, insane. Crushing is necessary and it’s a key in unlocking our secret powers. Did I say powers? Definitely yes! Stalking power, Flirting power, and Keen Eyes power.

Starring at him when he’s not looking at you, looking at his angelic smile that could melt your heart away.

We over react on a very small detail. We smash our friends shoulder whenever he passed by. We always check on his Facebook though there is nothing new about it. And especially, we always look at our best every time we know he will be around.

And isn’t it the most enduring feeling when you think of him constantly while lying in your bed then suddenly someone texted you and it is his name that appears on the screen? It was like everything you have worked for (not literally) has finally reached its peak. And all you have to do is smile all night long.

But then, something is bothering in our head. Our world starts to crumble when we knew that they have already someone else in their life. We saw them together walking in the street, “in a relationship” facebook status or in love group messages that clearly shows that it was Her he is referring to and not you.

And in this stage, we cursed him and we cursed love on what misery it brought to your life right now. But girls are like doors. We might be closing it but in a short time, someone else is going to knock from the outside. And then, everything starts over again.

There it goes again, a crush is so cute, makes you stop and mute. In most times they’re sparkles in the eye. How many times you can say “How I wish it can be you and I.”

She, the greatest of all.

I said a little prayer for you to thank the lord above for blessing me with a lifetime of your tenderhearted love. I thanked God for the caring you’ve shown me through the years, for the closeness we’ve enjoyed in time of laughter and of tears. And so, I thanked you from the heart for all you’ve done for me and I bless the lord for giving me the best mother there could be.

When God set the world in place, when he hung the stars up in space, when he made the land and the sea, then he made you and me. He sat back and saw all that was good. He saw things to be as they should. Just one more blessing he had in store; he created a mother, but whatever for?

How did you find the energy, Mom? To do all the things you did, to be a teacher, nurse and counselor, when I was still a kid. How did you do it all, Mom? To be a chauffeur, a cook and a friend. Yet find time to be a playmate, I just can’t comprehend.

You were my fairy tale princess, so much larger than life. You were my angel and my witness through all my pain and strife. At times you made me angry, great words I proclaim, how someday you’d be sorry, you were the one to blame. But when I needed comforting you always found the time. Your words were more soothing than days of childhood sublime. Now the distance holds us apart, the boundaries have no end. I’ll hold the memories in my heart. I see now it was love, Mom that made you come whenever I'd call, your inexhaustible love, Mom. And I thank you for it all. You’re my mother, my best friend. <3
